This cakesmash was an absolute blast! After doing the Ellen inspired cakesmash last month I knew I wanted to continue the celebrity series and since I watch Live with Kelly & Ryan every day they just had to be next! Earlier this year we flew out to LA after snatching up tickets for their after Oscar show. Such a fun trip and a great memory! Watching their show just puts me in such a good mood. I started out by thinking about what I wanted in the setup and ordered most of the items from Amazon. I asked my baker Jade Ramos if she could make their signature mugs into cakes and when she said – yes, Voila, all we needed were two little munchkins. I put out a model call to look for the perfect “Ryan” and the perfect “Kelly”. When I saw little Jaxon I immediately knew he would be perfect for it! I mean, can you take his cuteness??? Emalyn was such a cute petite little munchkin, with a love for carbs – just like Kelly! I was so excited when both moms agreed to be part of the shoot! I seriously was super excited to see it all come together. My sweet neighbor Justine came over once again to do some behind the scenes shoots. Jaxon tried to escape the setup at least 70 times. His mom was such a good sport and just kept putting him back. Emalyn just sat there and ate. Like a good girl. Haha. We all had some great laughs during the shoot, especially when little “Ryan” got a bit rough and kept smacking Kelly, we all knew he meant that in the nicest way possible.
I was so excited to post some sneak peeks of the shoot and shortly after I posted it on Twitter Live with Kelly & Ryan tweeted it out on their account!!! After the tweet, a very nice lady from USA Today reached out and wrote this very sweet article about the cakesmash. Then the next day someone from People reached out and wanted to feature the images on their site. Such excitement!!! Then Ryan Seacrest, yes the Ryan Seacrest tweeted about the images on his twitter!!!
Someone pinch me! Then on Kelly’s birthday, she read the letter I sent into the show!!! OMG. Annnnd then we got another share on Cafemom, which was such a sweet read as well! You guys, my mind has been blown by the love this smash has been getting. 101.5khits also shared it on their page. So very grateful for all the love and support! This is such a fun series and I cannot wait to show you the next one we are shooting this weekend! Does anyone want to take a guess?
