We recently had the absolute joy of capturing a cake smash session that was equal parts sweet and spunky, themed around the ever-adorable “Girls Just Wanna Be One.” And trust us when we say: this little lady understood the assignment.
Meet Amaia, a cheeky, bright-eyed one-year-old who stole the show from the moment she toddled into the studio. Dressed in layers of soft pink and a sparkle that could only be described as “born to be fabulous,” she was ready to dive headfirst into her very first birthday celebration. And by “dive,” we do mean face-first into cake. ;0
The setup was so adorable and filled with charm: shades of blush and rose, a huge bow, and some soft curtains adding a special amount of shabby-chic flair. Her cake? A white cake covered with cute little bows and a number “1”.
Mom brought along a beautiful wooden horse which she had painted especially for her cake smash to match the setup, and it made for an amazing prob! While the cake is always the star of a smash session, we might argue the horse briefly stole the spotlight. One of the best parts about milestone sessions like this is how personalized they can be.
