Embracing the Spirit of Childhood
As a mom myself, I have witnessed many of my kids’ firsts: first smile, first steps, getting the first tooth – so I know these are just as important to you! Therefore, let’s not miss out on capturing them! I love documenting these moments on camera so that you can forever treasure them. So when they are 18 and ready to move out you can give them their baby box filled with special photographs from their life. On the other hand, you might just want to keep that box for yourself, and I totally understand!

Toddlers are notorious for their boundless energy and short attention spans. Rather than putting them through a long session, I always suggest that 20 minutes is a perfect amount of time. Often little ones get irritated when they are overstimulated, and that is one thing we want to avoid.
Hence why I design toddler photography sessions to be fun, engaging, and interactive. Depending on the time of the year and also the age of your little one, we can have your session in our beautiful Milford studio or outside. Granted, the fewer distractions there are the better the session usually goes.
Capturing Baby & Toddler Photography Milestones and Memories
When is a good milestone you ask? As an example, four months is a great age to get those tummy-time pictures, as most babies will be able to lift their heads up by then. In addition, my popular sitter sessions usually take place around 6-8 months. Every baby is different and might not sit as early as others. But you know what? They will all sit at some time, and when they do – I will be ready! I provide all outfits and props for sitter sessions so you just show up with your baby.
I always try to make those sessions as easy as possible for everyone. A huge baby wardrobe is available for you to pick from and I am always adding to it. Very popular among my sitter clients is my award-winning sitter milkbath photography session. These sessions are so very beautiful and unique. I have a huge bathtub in the privacy of my studio where your session will take place. You will have to hop in the bathtub with them for their safety, which allows me to capture some beautiful images of you two. Some clients use the opportunity for some beautiful breast-feeding images. It surely is a beautiful session to be part of.
Apart from what I have available in the studio, some clients like to bring their clothing items. These stores have quality items that will photograph lovely.
Turning the Big One or Two
Besides the two milestones mentioned above, another very popular milestone to capture for your baby is the cake smash! I try to schedule those cake smash sessions about 4-6 weeks before their first birthday so that you can proudly display those fun images at their first birthday party! Just keep in mind for a customized premium cakesmash session I need about 6 weeks to plan to make sure everything is perfect!
Another fun milestone is the 2-year-old paint smash session. These are suggested for kids 2 and up. Speak about fun and messy, what a great combo!
