I have been very fortunate in my photography career and I love to pass on the love I have received. This is why I started my GIVING BACK sessions. It doesn’t matter what your struggle is, maybe it is financial, maybe your family has been hit with loss or your health is/was compromised.

You can either nominate yourself for a session or someone can write in for you and tell us your story and why you would love me to capture some lasting memories for you. I know having your pictures taken is a big expense and not everyone can afford it, for various reasons. So let me help you with that and take that worry off the table. We will be in touch should you be selected, we do receive a lot of applications but always try to make it happen if time allows.

I also volunteer for The Gold Hope Project which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that facilitates photography of fighters and survivors of childhood cancer. They help children (infants – 21 years old) diagnosed with cancer of any form. No matter the prognosis, the fight is still waged and they support you, this includes those who have won their battle with cancer. If you are interested fill out the application on their page and request me as the photographer.

Ute was so professional and kind throughout the process. She was so detailed about everything to do to get our baby to behave during his baby pictures for our newborn session and it worked! He slept the entire time and we got amazing photos out of it. Every time he would slightly stir she was able to get him right back to sleep. I would recommend her again for anyone looking in Connecticut for newborn photos!

This is our second time using Ute-Christin Photography and I can honestly say Ute and her team are phenomenal. We used Ute for a newborn session 5 years ago which I loved. This time around we had a beach mini session which was perfect for my toddler and three year old (I actually have mom guilt now bc I didn't do a new born session for my three year old). The beach mini session was 15-20 minutes which was the perfect length of time for my small kids. I am thrilled with the proofs that we received. Ute and her assistant Andrea are both professional and responsive. After I booked the mini session at the beach I received a detailed email with tips about how to make the shoot successful. This included tips about what to wear and color schemes that were helpful and contributed to beautiful photos. Ute was also prepared at the photo shoot. We were at the beach which she pre-warned could be buggy or windy of course I forgot bug spray but Ute had it on hand and happily shared with us. She made my kids, my husband, and myself feel incredibly comfortable. I am so happy we did this shoot. I love how the background and lighting look. I will definitely be booking again in the future.

Ute is such a talented photographer. We originally scheduled a maternity photo shoot but when our little man arrived 5 weeks early Ute graciously changed it from maternity photos to a newborn photo session and while i was sad not to have the maternity pictures I couldn’t be happier with the newborn photo session. We had an amazing experience with Ute for our newborn photo session for our daughter. From the initial email inquiry, Ute and Andrea were incredibly thorough and detailed with the process and what to expect and even how to best prepare for the shoot. Ute is absolutely incredible at what she does. She is such a gifted baby/family photographer because she excels at getting beautiful shots AND making sure the experience is positive for your child. We did a beach mini session in Milford to get family portraits with our 7-month-old daughter. Even though 7 months can be a universally tough age (we were getting past bedtime and baby girl was starting to fuss), Ute went above and beyond to keep our daughter smiling. This involved her taking photos one-handed while entertaining her with toys with the other hand and even playing her favorite song. This was in addition to making sure her dress was in place and that my hair wasn't in my face. Ute really gets to know her clients ahead of time with a questionnaire and she takes into consideration any insecurities you may have or particular shots you prefer. I can be particular about how I look in photos but I am thrilled with how they came out. She really will make sure the whole family looks their best and the turnaround time is so quick too. These are our first real family photos and I will cherish them always! Can't wait to use her again in the future.

Ute was amazing in our maternity session. We never did any professional shoots before, so we didn't know what to expect but she has the eye for detail and helped with all of our poses and picking beautiful locations.
