This was probably the best day I’ve had in a long time! This “In My Era” marathon brought us all so much joy! We had 11 girls join us for this fun event, and can I just say IT WAS A BLAST!
As soon as I saw this backdrop, I knew I needed to have it for my studio. I just loved the colors on the drop, and the big guitar was so fun to have in the background! I went a little crazy and bought tons of props to be a staple for these sessions. We had a fun pink guitar, an old-fashioned record player, and a silver guitar that I spray-painted myself. It started off as a regular brown guitar and then ended with a fun silver sparkly coat. We also had a variety of microphones and tons of friendship bracelets. A Taylor Swift staple!
Glitter, Music, Hair and Glam
A hairdresser was in the studio to get the girls’ hair styled and glittery for this special shoot. We also had some fun hair extensions that most of the girls loved! Also, did I mention the fun tattoos we used for their hands? Their outfits were also perfect for the stage! We blasted the music in the studio, and we also had some Taylor cutouts the girls could take pictures with! This was one of my favorite mini marathons ever! Also, can you spot my daughter among these Swifties?
Q&A – Do you love everything Taylor?
Q: Do I need to be a Swiftie to understand or relate to this post?
A: Not at all! Think of the Taylor references as glitter on a great outfit, fun, but not required to enjoy the vibe. The heart of the post is real-life stuff we all go through (just without the stadium tour).
Q: Could I have a “Taylor Swift moment” during a newborn or maternity session?
A: Yes, queen. Your version of a “Taylor moment” might be less confetti cannon, more cozy snuggle, but that mix of emotion, magic, and storytelling? We’re all about it.
Q: Why do Taylor’s lyrics feel so personal… and also how I felt after my 3 am feeding?
A: Because she’s the master of turning the everyday into poetry, and so are moms. Those raw, sleep-deprived, love-drunk moments are the realest stories of all.
Q: What if I want a session inspired by Taylor’s eras? Is that a thing?
A: Um… absolutely. Want soft Folklore forest vibes? Bold Reputation drama? Classic 1989 glam? We can craft a shoot around your fave era. Bonus points if you show up in sequins.
