Choose your perfect newborn session: The deluxe session lasts up to 3 hours for plenty of sweet moments and includes parent and sibling shots. The petite session is about 1 hour long and focuses on your baby only. The wrapped session is quick, about 30 minutes, and perfect also for older babies.

Let’s start by connecting, I’d love to hear your story! Tell me about your pregnancy, what you’re loving most about this journey, and when your little one is due (or how old they are now). Since I limit the number of sessions I take on to ensure each client receives the attention they deserve, let’s chat soon to check availability. If you’re expecting, reaching out before your due date is the best way to secure a spot, but I’m here to capture babies at every stage.

02. Get On My Calendar

Newborn sessions take place at my nearby Connecticut studio. Are you unsure which collection option best fits your vision? Let’s discuss your ideas, and I’ll recommend the best session type. Once we finalize the details, I’ll send your client contract and invoice for the retainer fee, which secures your newborn session. You’ll also receive a questionnaire, which will enable me to get to know you better and create the perfect newborn session tailored just for you.

Let’s start planning! Together, we’ll bring your dream newborn session to life. We’ll discuss your vision and how you want to enjoy your images, whether that’s digitally, in albums, framed on your walls, or all of the above. Options are endless! I’ll guide you through all the available options, from wraps and outfits to props. Everything is available for you in my nearby Photography Studio, you just have to bring the baby! I’ll be here to answer any questions and provide resources for professional hair, makeup, or give styling advice if needed. Let’s make this experience effortless and unforgettable!

04. Your Newborn Session

Your little one has arrived, congratulations! Now it's time to set up your session. I always recommend having a designated "Ute" person, someone who lets me know when your baby is born. Once I get the news, we’ll check the calendar and choose a session date. I love photographing newborns between 9-13 days old while they’re still snuggly and naturally curled up. As we count down to the big day, we’ll finalize your prop selection and details. Most importantly, get excited! This is going to be an unforgettable experience.

05. Image Delivery

After your newborn session, you won’t have to wait long, by that evening, you’ll receive your proof gallery. From there, select your favorite images for retouching, and once your order is in, I’ll get to work. Your final gallery will be ready in less than two weeks, and you’ll have the option to order prints, an album, or a stunning canvas. The experience wraps up with beautiful photographs of your little one, ready to be cherished forever.

What to Know Before Your CT NEWBORN Session | FAQ

Q: When should I book my newborn session?

A: As soon as possible! I’ve had moms reach out as soon as they get the positive test, and I’ve had moms reach out after their baby is already born. My best recommendation is booking your session during your second trimester to ensure my availability. My studio is typically booked several months in advance. Because of the care I provide for each session, I can only take a limited number of sessions each month. Please reach out with any questions. I’m happy to answer!

Q: What should we bring to the session?

A: We provide everything needed for your baby! Wraps, props, and outfits are provided, but feel free to bring a sentimental item or special outfit you'd like photographed. Just bring your family, feeding supplies, and diapers.

Q: What should my baby wear to the studio?

A: Just a simple onesie or zip-up sleeper is perfect! Something easy to take off without disturbing your baby too much. We’ll handle the rest with our studio wardrobe and wraps!

Q: What if my baby is fussy or doesn’t sleep?

A: This fear is totally normal, but don't worry! We allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and snuggling. With patience (and a few baby whisperer tricks), we always get those dreamy shots.
