In today’s world, you have a lot of choices – food, TV shows, dating apps, photographers….plenty to choose from. This is a great thing, because as the consumer choices are very personal. You want to make sure you pick what is right for you and your family. Someone who can deliver what you are looking for and even exceed your expectations. It’s like finding your soulmate on Tinder, totally unexpected but oh-so thrilling.

Years of experience

For 15 years now I have created memories for my clients – though looking back, the first 3 years people probably stuck with me because I was very affordable and not terribly bad – not good either, but just good enough to pay what I was asking for at the time. But with time and many workshops and hours of private mentoring, I got much better, some even say I am great now. :)

I have this thing where I have to be good at everything, my therapist calls it OCD, but whatever you call it, it will work in your favor, trust me! I am very detail-oriented and will make sure that your story is told the way it should be. I am constantly improving my skills and always strive to deliver the best images to your family. Hiring a mature (ouchhhhhh) photographer has its privileges because you know they have plenty of experience under their belt or in my case leggings.

Tailored Approach

Whether you're looking for a maternity milk bath, a newborn shoot, a holiday family portrait, or a cake smash session I am your girl. Well, at almost 45 I should probably call myself a woman instead, but hey you are only as old as you feel, right? Anyway, this is about you and not about me, so I will make sure to listen to your wishes and visions and turn around the session you have dreamed of! I like your images to reflect your personality and values therefore making them truly one-of-a-kind. So picking a photographer that will work with you and not against you, is always a plus in my book.

Creative Vision

Sometimes my clients have a pretty good idea of what they want going into a shoot, but often they don’t – and either way – I got you! I love collaborating, especially for cakesmash sessions and creating something that hasn’t been done before. Coming up with fun things is my jam! If you book a family session, I will also help to style your entire family, as I believe what you wear for your pictures will make a big difference, not only how they come out but also how you will feel. So take advantage of me, I meant my creative talents, and let me help you make this a session to remember!

Professionalism and Reliability

This might be a good time to mention I am German. I could probably end this paragraph right here, but I will elaborate anyway. :) My main focus while running this business is clients like you. I want you to have the best experience from the very first time you make contact til the day we part. Not in a sad "We will be dying" kind of way, just you know once your pictures are delivered. So, I do everything in my power to make this as easy on you as I possibly can.

I am the prime example of someone they describe as a Type A personality and they would be right. Pair that with my OCD and you will quickly realize you are in very good hands. I am very organized and run my business legally, pay my taxes, have insurance, and have the gear and tools to deliver top-notch images to my clients. This means I am pretty much the IRS favorite person – and have I mentioned I am always on time, if not early?

Attention to Post-Production

Photographing your session is only one part of your photoshoot, after that comes the very exciting part of photo editing. If you check out my portfolio, you will see samples of my finished work. Editing images is a great skill to have and one you want to keep an eye on. There are a lot of photographers out there and all of us have a different editing style.

This is one of the main factors you should consider when choosing your photographer. Because there is nothing that can be done if you are not happy with the editing style your photographer provides. It is like going to a Thai restaurant and asking for Indian food. Can't do it. So make sure the portfolio and what you see on their website align with your vision and taste buds.

Diversity

It is actually sad that this even needs a separate paragraph, but I would like to point out that my clientele is very diverse. This means only one thing, everyone is welcome here. This is a judgment-free zone, though I like to point out that if you are not a hugger, I will silently judge you. And then hug you anyway! :)

Price and Costs

You probably already noticed this while doing your photographer research, good photography is not cheap. Nor should it be. Years of experience, the newest technology, business costs and time invested into every client come with a price. An old saying “You get what you pay for” comes to mind here, and I firmly believe that it is a true statement.

There often isn’t a second chance to capture your images again, so you want to make sure they are done right and perfect the first time around. You might pay a bit more than you initially thought, but at least you don’t pay twice or miss out on shots that are important to you.
